Latest News

December is a month filled with giving, tourism, heat waves, love, families get-togethers and blessings. Yet, after hearing the radio, I am ashamed to hear nothing more than sad news! One topic in particular has disturbed me. Poaches are killing our already-endangered rhinos and elephants. Game Reserves across the Cape have discovered corpes of several animals, killed for their tusks. It seems the more they kill, they more they get from each hit!

Yet some good news came this evening, as I was listening to the radio. Two Asian pouches have been taken in custody, as they were discovered earlier this week. They were caught in action, grinding tusks for retail sell. Searl Derman, owner of Aquila Game Reserve, played a crutial part in bringing in the 2 'asian' poaches.
